Welcome! Suburban Sarah is a modern comic strip that highlights
the day-to-day life of today’s woman. My hope is to bring a contemporary, down-to-earth perspective of what motherhood,
aging and discovering yourself entails--as well as illuminate the humor and idiosyncrasies in everyday life.
After my own initial sleep deprivation as a new mom wore off and
my child started kindergarten, it was easy and fun to take note of the nuances, absurdities and poignant moments that happen every day. I’ve found that creating this comic has been the perfect medium for expressing those moments.
Through thought bubbles and the subtle stroke of a line on a page, this feature is the product of the times in life that give us laughter and meaning. (There’s a kitty in it, too.)
Suburban Sarah is a weekly comic strip that is updated online every Friday, it also appears in several newspapers and newsletters. Write
to me and ask how you can get Suburban Sarah in your publication.
